How to Setup and Install EZVIZ BC1 Battery Camera Kit




Part 1 – Set up EZVIZ Battery Camera Kit

Step 1: Power on the Base Station
Plug in the power adapter (12V 1A) to the base station.
*To ensure a stable network connection, please place the base station at least 1m above the ground.

Step 2: Connect the Base Station
Connect the Ethernet cable from you router to the base station.
*Please make sure the router can access the Internet.

Step 3: Turn on the Camera
Press SYNC button for 2 seconds to turn on the camera.

Charge the Camera (optional)
Plug in the power adapter (5V 2A) to the camera.
* The LED indicator will slowly falsh green when the camera is charging.

Please note:
– The camera will automatically turn on when charging;
– Make sure the camera is removed from the wall before charging
– Please don’t charge the camera outside
– Please don’t charge the camera under extreme weather (>45°C or <0°C)

Step 4: Add the base station to EZVIZ App
Search and download the latest EZVIZ app on App Store or Google Play Store.
Launch the app.
You can either create a new EZVIZ account or login to the existing EZVIZ account.
Scan the QR code on the base station or you can manually enter the serial number (SN) on the base station as an alternative.

Step 5: Pair camera(s) with the base station
Place the camera 30 to 100cm (1 to 3ft.) from the base station.
Press and hold the SYNC button on the camera for 2 seconds.
The LED indicator on the camera will rapidly flash blue.
It takes about 150 seconds to complete the pairing.
You may tap ‘refresh’ icon to refresh the current interface.

Please note:
– If the LED indicator on the camera slowly flashes red, it mean the pairing has failed and you’ll need to try again and repeat the steps above.
– You can pair up to 4 cameras with each base station simultaneously.

Part 2 – Install the Battery Camera

Tips for Picking a Good Location
– Make sure the location has a clear and unblocked view.
– Make sure the location has a good, reliable Wi-Fi reception
* The closer your camera is to the base station, the better the wireless connection quality
– Make sure the wall or the surface is strong enough to withstand three times the weight of the camera (>1,155g).
– It’s recommended to install the camera 2-3m (7-10ft) above the ground and tilt the lens 20° downward.
– It’s recommended to use the camera to capture side-to-side motions rather than the movements directly coming towards or leaving away the camera.
– It’s recommended to test and adjust detection sensitivity on EZVIZ app for optimal performance based on the location you choose.

Step 1 – Stick the drill template onto a clean and flat surface.
Step 2 – Drill holes based on the template
*Please note make sure the diameter of the drill bit is 5.5mm to 6mm, and the depth of the hole is no less than 25mm
Step 3 – If you’re drilling on the brick or cement wall. you’ll need to place the wall anchors before align the mounting plate. If you’re drilling on the wood surface, then simply align the mounting plate to the template.
Step 4 – Use screws to fix the mounting plate.
Step 5 – Screw and fasten the magnetic base (or screw base) to the mounting plate.
Step 6 – Mount the camera to the base.
Step 7 – Position the camera to capture the perfect angle
